Chaplaincy Service

In accordance with the Evangel Hospital’s mission “Holistic Healing and Compassionate Care”, we provide chaplaincy service to patients and their family members, as well as hospital staff. We live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the visible Love of God through our care and visits.

Service targets

Patients and their family members

Visit patients and their family members especially at the critical moment.
Be focusing listening and provide compassionate response to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their family members. If necessary, facilitate them to release their emotion or refer them to the Psychological Assessment & Counselling Centre for further support and care.
Provide information on social service to those in need.
Share the Gospel and provide pastoral care to patients and their family members.

Staff

Provide active support and care to individual staff and pray for those in need.
Promote Christian staff to live out their faith in the workplace through Morning Prayer Meeting, Bible Study Group and Disciple Group.
Provide diversified pastoral care through ‘Lunch corner’, Worship and Interest Groups.

Visiting Volunteers

The Chaplaincy Volunteer Team belongs to one of the sub-groups of EH Volunteer Team (E-Angel)
Recruit members from the churches with training provided.
Assist Chaplains to visit outpatients, day patients and inpatients.
All Christians are welcome to join the Visiting Volunteer Team.

Regular activities

Prayer Meetin	Every Wednesday	8:15-8:45 a.m.
Worship Service	The 2^nd Wednesday every month or festival	1:20-1:55 p.m.
Lunchtime Corner	The 4^th Wednesday every month	1:00-2:00 p.m.
Lord’s Supper	Easter of every year
Christmas Worship Service and Caroling	December every year
