Pastoral Care Visitation Training Course 2026

Would you like to learn how to care more effectively for patients and bring Christ's love into the hospital setting?

 

Our Chaplaincy Department warmly invites Christians with a heart for serving others to join the Pastoral Care Visitation Training Course 2026. Through a series of practical training sessions, participants will gain the skills, knowledge, and compassion needed to care for patients and their families, while learning how to journey alongside them through different stages of life.

 

Course Details：
Dates：

8, 15, 22 & 29 October 2026 (Thursdays)
Time： 7:30pm – 9:15
Venue：

E.F.C.C. Grace Church - Grace Point
（The Prince Place, 398 Prince Edward Road West, Kowloon City, Kowloon, Hong Kong）
Target：

Christians aged 18 or above who are interested in providing spiritual care and support to those in need
Fee： $100
(Free of charge for members of partner churches, Evangel Hospital volunteers, and staff members.)

  1. 8 October - Equip yourself to become a volunteer
    Rev. Ken Chan (Chairman of Christian Chaplaincy Committee of Evangel Hospital)
  2. 15 October - How to care for patients’ holistic needs 
    Dr. Billy Chui (Superintendent cum Chief Medical Executive of Evangel Hospital) &
    Ms. Clara Ng     (Chaplain of Evangel Hospital)
  3. 22 October - How to listen effectively and respond empathetically
    Ms. Ching Shuk Yuen  Psychological Counsellor of Evangel Hospital Psychological Assessment & Counselling Centre)
  4. 29 October - How to preach the gospel to patients
    Ms. Angel Lau (Chaplain In-charge of Evangel Hospital)

 

Upon completion of the training, participants are welcome to join the "E-Angels",our volunteer team, to serve patients through visitation, spiritual care, and support for healthcare service activities.
*Attendance at the Infection Control Training on 14 November 2026 (Sat), 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., is required for all who would like to join the "E-Angels" volunteer team.
